Tuba Christmas!
We had such a blast listening to the great music at the museum on Saturday! I think Mason sat like this for at least a half hour...which is a lot for his age! He just loves live music! We had a lovely little lunch with friends after and made it a fun mommy date day while daddy ski's. Its still snowing here...looks like more feet than inches, I will post some pics.! Huddy slept through all this in his bucket...which was amazing for many reasons...
1. his feet hang over and he is stuffed in the car seat bucket at this point.
2. the tuba's were so loud!
3. people kept looking in at him
4. food smell was in the air...

scruff family from back woods wyoming
OK, so we had no shower...had a lot of hiking around in the cold looking for our tree,
then we thought.... why not stop at the fancy Museum to Meet Santa...talk about under dressed, under bathed and brushed:)
Needless to say Mason Did not enjoy his "me time" with Santa.
Daddy loved the cookies and Hudson looked cute enough for us all...(except for when a camera shows up, he stops smiling.)

brothers!
So they are brothers, and on their way to being friends. For now...Mason mostly keeps a keen eye on Huddy to make sure he knows how much of anything the baby is getting. "My yogi"..."My Banana" he yells!
Sometimes the sweetest moments are ones you are not supposed to see. Mason bringing huddy a toy or telling him something very seriously...like teaching him "Horse....horse huddy" or "My Truck" as he shows him.
May loves to make Huddy laugh, as well as the rest of us. For now Huddy enjoys making us "laugh" by fake coughing/choking.
"haha" says Momma....yeah right, it more like mini heart attacks...then he smiles so big!
boys boys boys!

about the HUDS....I am just sooo lucky!
This little guy is NOT the daughter I dreamed of...
but HE is instead... the ANGEL I never knew I needed. Now that he is here, every moment with him proves he is EXACTLY what we wished for.
He is healthy...he is an old soul I think, he seems very patient yet opinionated, extremely loving and snugly...I just am caught in the tug-of-war of time...in my heart. Part of me wants each moment to stay the same, yet cannot wait to see him grow...if you are a parent, I think you know EXACTLY what I mean.
How strange it must be to have adult children...I suppose you get 18 years to get used to the idea.

He is a "blessing"
For those of us who do not regularly attend an organized church...(I'm in the "my church is the outdoors" camp)
It can sometimes be a little shocking when someone says "god bless you" or "He is a blessing" I even blush.
So...I'll set the scene. Mason started his "school" on Thursdays he goes half days and his teacher said she wanted to send her daughter home with me b/c I was doing such a good job with Mason and He is a "blessing" to her.*
So I bit my lip as I found myself wanting to make a wise crack about how he smacked his dog with a wood ball just hours before...or yanked the baby socks off his brother and then ran to the garbage and threw them in...or shaken baby brother syndrome...believe it.**
Mom, you would be proud...I just said thank you. I know he is amazing and I have little to do with it...he came into this world all Mr adorable personality flirty man.
*I hope she does not steal him next Thursday:)
**I wonder if i will ever mature?

kiss him or beat him?*
Thanks for sending these great emergency vehicles Grammy!
Mason is so excited, they are all the rage! You can let
Matt B know he made Masons week with them!
*we almost never beat him and have introduced the "Share"
concept to Mason, he is just struggling a bit:)" hehehe

new nosey neighbors at the new house!
Its getting harder and harder to sleep at night, just as the night feedings are slowing with Hudson...now we have a symphony of elks buggeling,
coyotes howling and cows moo-ing. Seriously I have to start sleeping with the windows shut.
Griffin is unsure of all those big creatures in his yard today...he is still peeled to the window from his ottoman purch, safetly inside of course, "gggrrrrrmmmppphhh" in low tones!

on our little walk yesterday
I was watching Mason interact with Griffin...or maybe Griffin interacting with Mason.
Sometimes its hard to see who picked the toy up first, who found the good stick, who did
something funny...
but what I do see is such a special bond between these two. I think Mason has the higher IQ for sure, but Griffin can out fox him... as well as let him win.
Last night I was cooking some amazing (i'm pretty humble, no) risotto and I asked Mason to feed Griffin. I thought he would try and maybe even get the thingy open that holds his food...but as I heard him make it through the steps and snuck over to the mud room to watch...he did it. He may have only fed him 1/4 of what Griff normally gets, but he did all the steps. The cutest was how Griffin wasnt bullying him too much, but patiently standing near his dish.
It was a milestone for both fur baby and big baby!
Sometimes its just the littlest things that get ya' all sentimental!

October is here!
Grammy and Pap sent a wonderful care package of scary and adorable treats, thank you!
Mason is intensely interested in the Halloween sounds of the books. We are so excited to be able to enjoy with him the adventure that is coming his way with costumes, witches and bats....falling leaves and soon the snow!
Two is not in any way terrible, its been so amazing really watching his vocabulary grow..."choco melk" and "no" are a little too popular
sometimes. He has been linking words and we are pretty much able to ask him to do and get things.
Huddy is so sweet and great. He is 100% tall, 60%weight and 50% head size. We think he is sooo good lookin' too!

feeding the little man
I thought we would breast feed for six months...
well six months is here this week. I sometimes wonder if
Huds is getting enough food. He still wakes a lot
during the night, I cant remember what a night
with out waking feels like, I could go on.
All that said, its about the most amazing thing
I have ever done and sometimes
I wish I could always hold and feed him. I took this
picture, I love it and wanted to always be able to
look back on his cute little face. xo

Paulinnnnnna or our Weena
Here she is....
isn't she beautiful!
Look another Lynch in love with her! (Griffin started a fan club)
Mason has his school day Thursday, so now Huddy gets his
turn to be spoiled rotten. Paulina and I keep saying this week how time fly's, she was just holding baby May May.
Huddy always smiles bigger when Leena comes. We are
going to miss her again, she leaves us in the winter for the ski hill, we cant blame her! Paulina we appreciate and love you and Sharmie to pieces.
We promise to help with your babies when you guys have some.

Story time has a new customer...
The other night I had to work Late at one of the rentals...
Daddy took both boys, when i got home he told me that Hudson read books with them when he put Mason to sleep. Usually I am holding or feeding Huddy in my arms during story time, so I assumed he meant he was lying on the big furry rug...well no actually. I took this last night when Michael showed me that Huddy actually sits up like them and reads all the books now! CAN YOU BELIEVE this... my baby is growing so quickly its a bit of a bitter sweet thing for me to gaze as this picture... its my whole heart, right there....can we stop time?
I love you guys..big, medium and small!

yo!
This is my new big bridge, I enjoy standing, sitting and laying down on it. I throw all the rocks I can find in the stream below, the bigger the better I usually need about 40 minutes out here until I will come inside. Mom is thinking about getting a chair to sit in now that she realizes I wont jump in and I heard dad talking about buying more rocks as I have used them all up, at least the good ones.
ps. The little bridge is nice too, especially when my ladies are over, they seem to love it too!
pss.Today I saw a muskrat swimming up the stream and I squeeled and put my hand over my mouth and pointed.
